Food Zones

Whatever your taste, however adventurous or predictable, the Tshwane Fan Fest has something for you when you’re hungry – or just want to nibble.  Traditional foods made by carefully selected local Mammas will give you a taste of township cooking at its best – don’t leave without sampling their wares at least once!  Fast food and family restaurant brands will serve burgers, pizzas, sandwiches and local favourites such as boerewors (farmer’s sausage) rolls.

Champions Corner

Leave your mark at the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.  At Tshwane’s Fan Fest you can sign a monumental Makarapa (traditional head gear of South African soccer).  Then go inside the giant Makarapa and have your photo taken for your World Cup album.

Kidz Zone

Keeping our children safe is an overarching priority.  At the Bana Ba Runa (Our children) play zone your kids will be entertained with clowns and puppet shows and engaged in arts and crafts in a safe and secure environment. Trained child minders from South African Child Welfare will watch the children.  Open from 10:00 to 18:00.  All kids from 3 to 10 years welcome.

Arts & Crafts

Don’t leave Tshwane without something from our local crafters.  Beads, carpets, wooden sculptures and implements – big or small, they are the perfect gift and reminder of a great day!
