A Tshwane teenager scored big time during the 2010 World Cup when she took first prize in the international FIFA FFH SONY SIYAKHONA photo competition. Lerato Mkhwanazi’s (15) picture was chosen from 10 000 entries worldwide. Lerato is shown here pointing to the winning entry - congratulations!
Even with the last days of the tournament creeping up, fans still attend the Temba PVA in the thousands. The Temba sports grounds were filled with fans that had come to watch the match between Spain and Germany. It seemed as though support was split between the two teams, but when Spain scored the goal that would secure their place in the semi-finals, the fans cheered on for Spain with the signature blow of the vuvuzela.
